Tattoo Care

After completion of your new tattoo we apply a dressing which we ask you to leave on for half an hour, before washing it with warm soapy water and patting it dry with a clean towel. Then liberally apply Bepanthen cream (Available from our studio for just £3, or Boots and Tesco's). We recommend that you repeat this process at least three times a day for the first week after your tattoo. (tip: warm the Bepanthen cream in a cup of warm water to thin the cream and aid application)

This should stop your tattoo from scabbing, itching and stop it from loosing any colour- not to mention limit it's healing time to just one week!

If any colour is lost from your tattoo (especially if it contains a large area of black), despite having used the cream as described, pop back after 2 weeks and we will happily recolour it for you free of charge.

Piercing Care

*Unfortunately it is very rare for a surface piercing to ever heal, it merely grows out leaving a nasty scar. It can take between one week and 6 months to grow out- although in rare cases we have seen a surface piercing last up to a year.

**It is always best to take some ibuprofen before having your tongue pierced, and to then continue taking it for 3/ 4 days afterwards. It is also advisable to buy some Listerine (mouth wash), especially if you smoke, and gargle with it 2/3 times a day for a week and after every cigarette. When we pierce your tongue for the first time, we put a slightly longer bar in to compensate for any swelling that may occur; however the tongue is a very quick healer, so after a week of having your tongue pierced we ask you to come back so  we can swap the long bar for a more comfortable, shorter one- at no extra charge.

***A micro dermal implant takes an incredibly short time to heal, and is permanent!. Once the piercing has taken place the only way to remove it is to make a small nick in the skin, a very small flat scar will be left afterwards.

Bathe your new piercing twice a day for four to eight weeks (dependant on the nature of the piercing) in warm boiled salt water (boil water in the kettle, dissolve salt and allow to cool).
